ella.
Hasta la próxima.
The Spanish city of Cadiz was besieged between 1810 and 1812
by the French Army, under the
command of Marshal Claude Victor. In short, this
is the framework for the development of the novel.
In it, the first character that appears is dark, surrounded by an aura of evil, of infinite cruelty: individual, moves at night, field of hustlers and black heralds. His name is Rogelio Tizón and he is Commissioner of city Police. His job is to find or invent guilty to the lowest crime that can happen in that portuary, the second capital of the Spanish Empire. And spares no resources to do his job. Torture, intimidation, blackmail. Another important character is a taxidermist, named Gregorio Fumagal. He combines his work between knobs and sawdust with raising pigeons and pointing at a map signs of the impact sites bombards from the other side of the bay, regularly sent by the French artillery captain Simon Desfosseux.

We
also find Lolita Palma, merchant
overseas, sensual and determined woman, a somewhat bizarre way in love with
Pepe Lobo, sailor captain Pat Corso,
responsible for both beat the pirates in the area and
grow richness of its contractors.
The lives of these four characters and the secondary will be intermingled when they begin to appear, after every bombing, dead girls near the impact site of the shells. Killed in a brutal manner, with their backs torn by whips.
It's a really interesting, entertaining and suspenseful novel.

Even
when sometimes it moves in the tedium, the peak
moments in history are good
enough to you do not want to put
it away and will to finish the chapter.
